In a major move toward a green and digital economy, the People’s Committee of Gia Lai Province has officially approved the 1/2000-scale detailed planning for the Eco-Industrial Park south of National Highway 19. Spanning 141.04 hectares, the ambitious project is poised not only to accelerate local economic growth but also to position Gia Lai as a prime destination for high-tech and renewable-energy investment.
Designed as a next-generation eco-industrial park, the development places clean production and resource efficiency at its core. Investors will be strongly incentivized to adopt energy-saving, water-conserving, and low-chemical technologies, with a binding requirement that at least 20% of operating enterprises meet strict carbon-reduction standards. A standout feature is the industrial symbiosis model, under which factories will collaborate to share resources and by-products, slashing operational costs and minimizing environmental impact.
More than 30% of the total area will be reserved for green corridors, tree-lined boulevards, public amenities, and social infrastructure — effectively transforming the site into an urban “green lung” that blends industry with nature.
Infrastructure will set new benchmarks for the Central Highlands: a fully integrated power grid, state-of-the-art water supply and wastewater treatment systems, separate stormwater drainage to protect groundwater, and seamless internal road networks linking factories, warehouses, and service zones for smooth logistics. Notably, dedicated worker housing, community facilities, and lifestyle amenities will be prioritized to enhance living standards and help attract and retain skilled talent.
Strategically located in An Nhơn Nam ward, the park will serve as a powerful economic catalyst for Gia Lai while delivering spillover benefits to neighboring areas. Thousands of high-quality jobs are expected, alongside a significant boost to the province’s industrial output. Streamlined investment procedures and comprehensive support services will further position the park as a magnet for sustainable capital inflows.
This landmark approval underscores Gia Lai’s unwavering commitment to building an environmentally responsible economy in line with Vietnam’s national green-growth strategy.
