Amata Corporation (Thailand) plans to invest in the Doan Hung Industrial Park in Phu Tho province, aiming to develop it into a smart urban area during the 2025-2030 period. The first phase of the project spans 300-500 hectares, focusing on attracting industries such as automotive and supporting sectors, high-tech industries, and clean industries utilizing renewable energy.
During a working session, Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Chairman Tran Duy Dong announced that the province expects to issue an investment certificate to Amata in October 2025. The Industrial Park Management Board and relevant departments have been tasked with supporting the investor in completing necessary procedures to approve the 1/2000 zoning plan by August 31, 2025.
Established in 1989, Amata is a leading Thai conglomerate specializing in industrial real estate development. The group currently operates nine integrated industrial urban areas covering over 10,000 hectares across multiple countries. In Vietnam, Amata has invested in major projects such as Amata Bien Hoa Industrial Park, Amata City Long Thanh, and Amata City Ha Long.
According to a resolution passed by the National Assembly on June 12, Phu Tho province was merged with Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh, retaining the name Phu Tho. The new province is considered to have significant advantages for attracting investment in industry, services, urban development, and tourism.
